Classification Architecture
~570 classifications, organized into 16 functional families
Per RFP §2.2, the City asks us to review pay scales and grades for all positions, compare job functions rather than titles, update ~570 job descriptions for consistency across job families, and streamline the overall pay-plan structure. That includes specific fixes the City named, such as the Staff Specialist and Executive Assistant grades that currently sit at the same level. Our family architecture tiers sub-classifications by function while grouping substantively similar work, from RTS Transit Operators to Police Officers to Maintenance Workers.
